If the photos are on the SSD drive, then yes they will launch faster than if on the HDD. Now that said, if they are just average say 2MB JPG photos the difference will not be huge. If it is a very hi-res photo say 10MB JPG the difference will be more noticeable.

Sorry, I figured it out... at least i figured out how to fix it... not certain why it happened.
I just removed the picture folder I had it pointed to and re-added and that fixed.

I am looking for a 19" I think, and I do not have to have widescreen. Also, I think I want to stay away from dell. Just personal problems with some of their stuff in the past at work, and I hate the idea of helping Michael out. :o
Now that is not to say I am saying never on the Dell. What model Viewsonic?
Dell's LCDs are cheaper and better than Apple's anyway. Apple and Dell also both get them from LG (when it comes to Dell's widescreens.....not sure about the rest).

I've been trying to find a USB KVM switch in the UK, and i'm not having much luck. The only ones i can find are ones where the output of the keys/mouse is usb, but the Input of the unit is PS/2.
I really want one with USB inputs, so i can use an Apple keyboard. Does anyone have any idea of where to look? I've checked ebay, dabs, ebuyer, pc world. They only seem to sell the PS/2 > USB ones..

To be honest, I don't think the hackers are trying to unlock the newer basebands. Sherif said in December that there would be an unlock for 3.10 Baseband in Mid January, but obviously that hasn't happened. I am very doubtful they will unlock anything after 1.59.00 before the next iPhone is released (iPhone 5).

I know a lot of people are worried about not receiving their copy by the 26th, though - as am I.
Guess we'll see, but I have confidence Apple can manage to mail a disc in time. I'm just wondering if they are planning on overnighting them or trying to time it out via slower mail. Overnighting probably wouldn't be that expensive for them with their quantity discount and for such small packages. At least I have the benefit of being in major city, a couple miles from the airport, and within walking distance of the distribution centers for USPS, UPS and FedEx. :)

Hate to break it to you crenz, but Panther won't run on beige G3s.
I'm in the same boat with my 400 MHz minitower. The choice is either stick with Jaguar (decent enough) or upgrade EVERYTHING!
Who knows? Maybe there will be a beige-box hack out there come January...

Personally I find that I can type much faster and more comfortably on a shallow keyboard like a PowerBook keyboard than on a deep keyboard (like an old original IBM keyboard). I have one of the classic IBM style keyboards hooked up to my PC, and I don't like it much. If I were going to buy a new keyboard, I'd go for something like the Icekey.

Also, I highly recommend taking at least one backpack to put sunscreen, water and snacks in. Disney World does allow food to be taken in now so I also recommend taking lunch some days as eating there every day is expensive.

Why not use Finder to just backup all your files and folders you are interested in, then reinstall Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard and then get back the files and folders you were interested in from the backup you made before you reinstalled Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard?
