Did anyone travel to India, by landing at Delhi Intl airport, and then proceeding to other destination city through a domestic airline?
Never been to Delhi, and I have no idea how Intl and domestic travel works in tandem...

Once while coming back from from Mumbai via Delhi, we did not have to change the flights, sat in the same flight to London.
And on other occasion where the connecting flight was Sahara to a Local Indian airport, we had to take our luggage and go to the Delhi domestic airport.
While in both cases, the Airline would arrange for the transport, Delhi has an inside route for passenger transfers(other vehicles are not allowed), while in bombay the bus goes thru the city, where the traffic is always severe.
In both the airports, if you are landing in the late morning (after 3-4am), you should follow up with the local airlines transport co-ordinator( bus driver ;)), to see what time is he gonna wake up and take you to the domestic airport.
Once when my inlaws were transferring from Bombay local to bombay international, they took a cab instead, as Jet airways did not have a bus ready to take the international passengers when they got out of the airport.

As mentioned this is going to be very important and historical rally. All participant should know what to speak and how to speak in front of media, news channel, reporters, etc... This rally is not a fun activity or a joke.

Hi Blue,
My advice is go for premium I-140 and file for I-485+EAD+AP. Advantages:
1. Spouse will have EAD.
2. Spouse would not need H4 renewal, which is savings to you (EAD/AP renewal is another matter).
3. After six months, you can use AC21 provisions. Your I-140 is safe.
4. Uncertainity of layoffs is gone and it brings piece of mind after six months.
5. You will be starting the FBI name check along with I-485 filing. By advancing your I-485 with premium I-140 filing, you will be cutting down the time it takes to get GC.
6. You/spouse can go for multiple jobs.

Thanks that helps!- so you filled the G-639 form and had to wait for almost 8 months to get a copy of the I-140 approval notice.

I need help please!
My employer applied for my H1B renewal very close to the expiration of my first H1B and I was told today that they got back the application becuase they made a mistake on the check. unfortunalty, they got back the application after my first H1B expired. They sent back the application with the right check and we have not heard anything yet. Am I ok or am I in a big trouble? Please, help! Thank you all.

I got a couple of emails from USCIS yesterday stating that they have sent notices requesting additional evidence/information on our I-485 applications. My priority date is October 2006 (EB3) and I am not sure why I would get a RFE now. Has anybody with a similar priority date get a RFE too?
I will let you guys know what was requested in the RFE as soon as I get it.
RFE can be issued even though your priority date is not current. This is because USCIS is processing the case and keeping it ready (pre-adjudicate) to issue GC when dates get current.

Name check is not an issue, the IO told me that name check is started soon after receipt of application, and 180 days have passed. There is a new rule that name check cannot delay I485 by more than 180 days.
WOM - the 2 years may have changed, since WOM cases were usually fighting name check. I think that it is probably one for an attorney, so I'll likely consult attorney in May regarding WOM.
Any more comments welcome.

Receipt date vs notice date of last transfer -- which sets the processing date.
Even though it may not bring the result what you want, trying Congressman's office would at least serve the purpose of creating the record which may help you in turn while fighting WOM. So I would definately do that first. Now in theory "Receipt Date" should set the processing date but when you call USCIS they always talk about ND, somehow it seems that they can see only ND.. Yes, that is definately a grey area.

As soon as USCIS recieved my response documents my case status changed to resumed.
My attorney suggested me to get it notarized on stamp paper as it would look more genunie. It may not be mandatory but as it say Govt of India on stamp paper it would look little genunie.

We applied for her AP renewal on July 1st 2009 and on the status page, it says approval notice sent on July 16th. At the same time I also see a soft LUD on her I-485. The new date is 07/15/2009 but no status update. Are these two events connected or is someone actually looking at her I-485? Note, she is not current per priority date, however Texas processing times have been updated recently.
