Graham is only opposed to the dems passing Healthcare reform through reconcilliation method, which is ramming through Senate with just 51 votes without regard to any republican inputs or support. I just got my H1 visa and thanks so much for your help. I really appreciate that. I now actually got some questions about the port of entry. As my understanding that they will stamp my passport at the port of entry, I wonder if they will keep my current I-797 at the port of entry (I already have the H1 stamp in my passport). Pls advise. Also, I don�t have the bottom portion of the I-94 on I-797 since I am currently in Malaysia . Would this be a problem? Please also advise if they will issue me the new I-94 at the port of entry. Anybody pls help. Thank you very much.

Don't go by the online status messages at all. They are meaningless and not connected to your real case status. I think the worker made a mistake in selecting the online case message when they adjudicated your application.

Hi Mods, I am new to the forum so in case I asked this in the wrong section then do pardon me.
I am currently working on L1 visa and had applied for H1 visa for fiscal 2010. I did file the visa via a consultant based in ease coast. Now, i got an email 8 days back from CRIS that there was a RFE against my application.
And finally, earlier today I got another email from my consultant that my visa was denied.
My consultant says that he never received any RFE request from USCIS and all he got was a random rejection PDF from them (he in-fact says that I wasn't the only one ... he got 5 more denials today without getting the RFE)
My question to you folks is :
- Can he be lying and trying to cover-up the fact that he never bothered to respond back (even though the RFE came 2 months back)
- Can this actually happen (that RFE doesn't get delivered at all) ??
- He says he has asked the attorney to appeal further. Would that help. Also, how would I know if this guy has actually appealed or just gave another false assurance.
- Also what are my chances getting a H1B via the appeal route ?

I find that fireworks mx is really cool for doing what you are trying to do if you can get your hands on it. Oh yeah and I think you should antialias the text a little bit. If you want honest opinions....I think the image could use a little jazzing up....Try this:
Find a nice big panoramic image like of a beach or something.. Then give it a real big gaussian blur (so that you cannt recoginze what it was)......U should already notice it looks similar to a gradient. 2. The give it a strong motion blur to the left or right (to soften the image) 3. Then do a an adjustment...hue.....and play with the saturation and settings. (You should have a pretty nice gradient looking abstract at this point). 4. Then duplicate the layer and play with that layers blend mode. I find luminosity to be cool but find one to suit your needs. That will make your text and image seem more interesting....right now it looks kinda dead in the water......I find gradients by themselves to be boring this day in age (most of the time). Let me know if you need a more indepth tutorial....this one was kinda weak but....hey

Well, I just wanted to throw this out there, since I did not get any definite answer from any forums.
When in need for I-485 issues, who is better to contact - Congressman or Senator.
I just want to know the pros and cons of each and maybe this analysis will help others down the line.
Points to note are:
1. There are more congressman in a particular state than senators. There are only 2 senators in a state.
2. Senators are more powerful than congressman (not sure that this power applies for talking to USCIS or not)
3. Senators and congressman have different terms in office. Hence is it better to contact someone who is going to stay longer, or someone who is up for election soon and hence may help.
4. For a particular USCIS case, can we contact both congressman and senator at the same time. Is this good.
Can members throw some light on this based on their prior experience and based on their knowledge.

Just ask your parents to talk to a lawyer in India. Obtain two separate notarized affidavits from each parent. Hope you have the format. Give it your lawyer and tell him/her that they are the sworn affidavits. Be sure to mention in the affidavits that since there was no requirement of a birth certificate 'for my son/daughter' we never obtained one from the authorities earlier. Hence the new extract just for the purpose of filing immigration petition.
I think your lawyer is just complicating the situation - ?inexperience / jitteriness? When I had to get my BC I had to make my dad travel places on 12 hour trips. It is sad that we have make them run around in their old age. Plus the USCIS is stupid not to accept the date of birth as in the passport. Life is not easy when there are whole lot of dumba&&es around us. Just my opinion.
