Every lawyer is a businessman. And every businessman has a success story to tell to advertise himself. And you are unknowingly doing viral marketing. Look up on Google what viral marketing it. Has any of these lawyers done viral marketing of IV or greencard backlog action items on their forums and newsletters? So why are you advertising them? You go around town asking lawyers if they did any case successfully Showing a Valid Employer-Employee Relationship. And you will mostly get Yes answer so that they get more business. So why promoting only one lawyer.
Not sure why some folks make a big deal about some lawyer getting some advertisement. I don't work or favor any specific lawyer. I am posting some information that could be helpful to the community. If you read through that posting, you will see some smart wordings that could shut out USCIS memo.
Consider it for its content rather than who is writing it. For me IV is the primary forum. All other websites just supplement the information. We should welcome information wherever it comes from if we can benefit from it.

The number of students from India enrolled in US universities and colleges crossed 100,000 for the first time ever this year even as Most expensive cities for expats
international enrollments in America registered the largest percentage increase since 1980, defying broad economic trends.
As the number of international students at colleges and universities in the US increased by 8% to an all-time high of 671,616 in the 2008/09 academic year, students from India made up 103,260 of the overall number, according to the Open Doors report, which is published annually by the Institute of International Education (IIE) in collaboration with the US government.
The Indian numbers went up 9.2 per cent from 94,563 in 2007/2008 to cross 100,000 for the first time to retain its position as the top place of origin for international students in the United States. China remained in second place, although there was a sharp 21 per cent spike in students from China, going up from 81,127 last academic year to 98,235 this year. South Korea (69,000 to 75,000) remained in third place.
This is the eighth consecutive year that India has remained in the top spot. In course of a preview of the forthcoming visit to Washington of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh next week, Indian officials said on Monday that Indian student inflow contributed nearly $ 3 billion to the US economy last year. Overall, international students contribute $17.8 billion to the US economy, through their expenditures on tuition and living expenses, according to the US Department of Commerce.
Authors of the report said the findings do not reflect the full impact of the past year's economic downturn, since decisions to come to the United States to study were made before the financial effects were fully felt in the sending countries.

my case was sent to TX office on 6/29 for 7/2 delivery and i checked online the receipt date was 7/31. dont know why. should be 7/2
but i got FP notice on 9/10 for appt dt = 9/25

My labor application for GC (pre-PERM) was lost in the Dallas BEC and DOL was never able to find it. However, in my case we had gotten a receipt and also had proof of mailing etc. We had to resubmit the labor application and DOL immediately approved it within a week. However, because of the delay caused I missed the window for filing I-485. I had to wait for more than a year, till my PD became current to apply for I-485.

We are sending everything back certified mail tomorrow AM. Our big problem is that announcement regarding April's retrogression. We are REALLY hoping USCIS honors our original filing date of Nov. 08. Our PD was current right up until this month.

Its kinda confusing and really not that big or sensational.
Nothing sensational here. But it does affect me and all the physicians who have pending NIW based I-485.
I have finished 5 years of NIW service for physician and waiting for visa number (PD 9-2004). I have a conrad 30 related I-140 (approved) / I-485 (pending).

THEY SAID THIS WAS A NEW CARD. I WANT TO KNOW DO THEY DISTROY THE FIRST CARD THAT WAS SEND TO ME OR IS THIS NEW CARD WAS THE LPR(GREEN) CARD THAT HAVE 10 YEARS OF EXPIRATION? PLS URGENT REPLY THANKS

My case is transfered to from NSC to CSC on 09/07, California Service center.
I live in california, and my employer too in California.
Do you guys know the Fate of CSC transfred people like us.Will they transfer back to NSC..
Do you huys know any future cases like this wht we have current situation.

I guess people are willing to shell out few extra hundreds as long as it expedites the process. Anyway thousands are being spent on attorney's instead if all this money goes to USCIS, atelast things gets done faster. Ofcourse the string attached to this is that the money should be spent for improving process rather than fattening the pockets of few. I am also told that most of the fee money goes towards the Border security ( May be taking money from legal applicants to curb illegals)

I agree with Dixie. I feel there is no point in seeing visa bulletin or calculating date for EB3 until some law passes.

You cant use to port date after using AC21 ,your job responsiblities need to be same or of smiliar nature so u cant interfile as EB2 job responsiblities will differ. Porting of dates always carries risks more checks more documentations.
If I stay with my GC sponser, can I then port the date? If so, when am I free to leave the company? Is it after the EB2 I140 is approved?

When 140 is revoked USCIS generally send NOID and ask from a offer letter from intended(new) employer. If you can not provide a letter from new employer... they will deny 485.... sorry.

Bluez if dates move back then they will take effect from Sept 01 and you are already attending interview in Aug. Now as per law there no other bulletin can be issued for Aug again. If you rememebr same thing happend last year in July and then second bulletin had to be withdrawn. So don't worry have fun and enjoy.

Yes they do it. They do random google searches. Our issue is not resolved just because they are given directive not to use wikipedia, because they may use a lot of other resources on the internet.
